Box Score McFalls and Wittich Each Score Three Times for WC
CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Visiting Dickinson's Jake Evangelista scored the game-winning goal with 1:28 left in overtime to cap a game-closing 6-1 run in a 10-9 overtime win over host Washington College in Centennial Conference men's lacrosse action on Saturday afternoon at Kibler Field at Roy Kirby Jr. Stadium in the season finale for the Shoremen. The Red Devils improve to 3-3 overall and 2-3 in the Centennial, while the Shoremen finish their season 2-6 and 1-5 respectively.

How It Happened
- Brady McFalls put the Shoremen ahead 3-2 with 2:25 left in the first to end Dickinson's run of two goals and that would be the score after one quarter.
- Leading 4-3 with just over seven minutes to go, Washington scored the last three goals of the second quarter to lead 7-3 at halftime. Charlie Wittich scored with 6:45 left in the second from Joe Maimone to make it 5-3 and he extended the lead to three with 2:40 remaining on a feed from Ewan Temple. Temple netted his second assist in as many goals when he found McFalls to cap the first half scoring with 1:19 left to put the hosts ahead by four at break.
- After Wittich made it 8-4 with 5:19 left from Chase Orr, the Red Devils scored the final two goals of the third to cut the advantage to 8-6 after three. Skyler Schluter trimmed it to 8-5 with 4:32 remaining from Edward Sinnott and Tucker Booth finished off a pass from Connor Ringwalt to reduce the lead to two after three.
- Evangelista cut the lead to 8-7 with 12:37 to go in the fourth quarter with Sascha Gannon netting the assist. Logan Clefisch answered 41 seconds later from Maimone to put Washington back ahead by two at 9-7. Booth would trim the lead to 9-8 with 4:39 remaining from Jake Giotto and Ringwalt would find Booth for the equalizer with 1:15 to go in the fourth.
- In overtime, Washington forced a turnover in the first minute to get the ball for a chance to win it, but would turn it over themselves. Evangelista would receive the pass from Dunn and his shot from the left side found the net for the walk-off score.

- Scoring: McFalls (three goals and one assist), Wittich (three goals), Maimone and Temple (goal and two assists), Clefisch (goal and assist)
- In Goal: Chris Del Rosario (62:32, 10 goals allowed, seven saves)
- TC White (career-high and game-best seven ground balls, three caused turnovers to lead all players)
- Washington was 22-for-25 in clears in the contest and 0-for-4 in man-up situations.
- Dickinson held a 36-32 advantage in shots and held a 33-31 edge in ground balls.
- Washington had 19 turnovers, while causing 10 Dickinson turnovers.

- Scoring: Ringwalt (three goals and two assists), Booth (three goals), Schluter (one goal and two assists), Evangelista (two goals)

- The Red Devils were 19-for-20 in clears, 1-for-2 in man-up situations and turned it over 20 times, while notching eight caused turnovers.

- Wittich was named Goose Nation TV Shoremen Player of the Game.
- Today marked the final game for seven seniors – Del Rosario, Maimone, Wittich, Keen Griffin, Burke McFillin, Sean Reilly and Joey Sivo.
- Today also marked the final game for Jeff Shirk after 11 seasons as head coach of the team. Shirk, who guided the Shoremen to the 2014 Centennial Conference Championship and a spot in NCAA Division III Tournament semifinals, will be leaving Washington College to become the Athletic Director at The Pine School in Hobe Sound, Florida.
