Box Score Leahy Turns Away 20 Shots to Match Career-High
CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Visiting Muhlenberg jumped out to a 7-2 halftime lead on its way to a 13-8 win over host Washington College in a Centennial Conference men's lacrosse game on Saturday afternoon on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby Jr. Stadium. The Mules improve to 5-2 overall and 1-0 in the Centennial, while the Shoremen are now 1-5 and 0-1 respectively.

How It Happened
- Muhlenberg, who never trailed jumped out to a 4-1 lead with 6:38 left in the first quarter on a Dominick Visintin score.
- After Logan Clefisch closed the gap to 4-2 with 1:39 remaining in the opening quarter, Jack Quinn answered 30 seconds later to give the Mules a three-goal lead after one.
- Wyatt Maila scored with four ticks left in the second quarter to give Muhlenberg a 7-2 lead at halftime.
- The Shoremen scored the first three and four of the first five goals of the third quarter to cut the Mules' lead to 8-6 with 6:13 to go on a Cory Morgan goal from Mac Hale.
- Muhlenberg would answer with the last two goals of the third to take a 10-6 lead into the fourth with Matt Marrella scoring from Ethan Grossman with 30 seconds left to give the visitors a four-goal edge heading into the fourth.
- In the fourth, the Mules outscored the Shoremen 3-2 to provide the final margin.

- Scoring: Hale (two goals and one assist for career-high three points), Brennan (two assists and one goal), Ewan Temple (two goals)
- In Goal: Ryan Leahy (60:00, 13 goals allowed, 20 saves to match career-high)

- Gabe Velasquez went 9-for-18 on face-offs.
- Washington was 19-for-24 in clears in the contest and was 0-for-3 on the man-up.
- Washington had 22 turnovers, while causing four Muhlenberg turnovers.

- Scoring: Maila and James Dalimonte (three goals and one assist), Ethan Grossman (one goal and three helpers), Marrella (two goals and one assist), Quinn (two scores)

- Matt Burke went 13-for-23 at the X and grabbed a game-high six ground balls.
- The Mules were 15-for-17 in clears, 1-for-3 in man-up situations and turned it over 16 times, while notching 13 caused turnovers.
- Muhlenberg held a 47-24 advantage in shots and 33-21 in ground balls.
