Washington College 15 Haverford 12

How it happened
- The Shoremen (3-8, 2-3 Centennial) grabbed the first score just over four minutes into the opening frame. Sophomore attackman/midfielder Trevor Ivatts cashed in the dish from junior attackman Logan Clefisch to put the good guys ahead, 1-0.
- Haverford (5-7, 1-4 Centennial) needed just 27 seconds to respond, with senior attackman Sean Mowatt-Larssen marking the first tally for the Fords. Just over a minute later, junior midfielder Eric Dahlberg scored unassisted to take a 2-1 advantage.
- After five minutes and change of scoreless lacrosse, first-year midfielder Cory Morgan buried a feed from junior attackman Luke Brennan to knot the affair. The score remained 2-2 through the remainder of the first.
- The Fords cashed in on a man-up chance with 10:37 to go in the second quarter. Junior attackman Andrew Arth scored unassisted with the chance, pushing Haverford ahead. Just shy of two minutes later, first-year attackman Matt Richards notched an unassisted score of his own. The two scores gave the hosts a 4-2 lead.
- With 6:14 to go in quarter two, the Washington attack erupted. The Shoremen went on a 4-0 run, with the first three goals coming in a span of just 48 seconds. First-year attackman Ben Dickinson got the party started, putting a feed from junior middie Kain Domenech in the net. Ivatts struck for the second time in the half just 29 seconds later to tie the game, and Dickinson scored again 19 seconds after that. The fourth strike came with 2:53 to go in the period, courtesy of senior attackman Ewan Temple. When the dust settled, the Shoremen found themselves with a 6-4 lead.
- The Fords did not allow Washington to steal the lead before the break. With 47 seconds to play in the half, Richards struck again for the hosts to bring the margin to one. Senior midfielder Blake Brinster beat the clock, scoring with just five seconds on the clock to lock the contest at 6-6 going into intermission.
- The second half featured three two-goal runs, two for the Shoremen and one for the Fords. Washington's second-half scoring began with Temple's second goal of the contest, this time cashing in on a Haverford penalty. Temple found the goal again 50 seconds later to give Washington an 8-6 lead.
- Haverford's two-goal response featured finishes from Mowatt-Larssen and Richards. With just over eight minutes in the third, the score was again tied, 8-8.
- The second Shoremen run of the frame was again led by Temple. His man-up finish gave the visitors the lead once more, bolstered thanks to sophomore defender Dylan Kilroy's first career goal. Washington led, 10-8.

- Haverford sneaked in another goal before the end of the third. Sophomore midfielder Will Graves slimmed the gap to one with his finish, 10-9.
- The two sides traded goals to open the fourth. Brennan cashed in the fourth man-up goal of the game for Washington, which Fords first-year attackman Evan Wolpert parried 17 seconds later with a finish of his own, setting the score at 11-10 in favor of the Shoremen.
- Washington's final insurance came in the form of another 4-0 run, this time spanning much of the period. Ivatts notched third and fourth goals in that span, while Dickinson scored his third of the day and Kilroy put a stamp on his career offensive day with his second tally. With 5:11 to play, the Shoremen established a 15-10 advantage.
- Haverford managed two more goals but could not complete the comeback. The finishes came from junior attackman Peter Christians and senior midfielder Gray Pollock, setting the final score of 15-12.
