Box Score Velasquez Scores Twice for His First Two Career Goals
LANCASTER, Pa. – Host #16 Franklin & Marshall got game-bests of five assists and nine points along with four goals, tying for contest-high, from A.J. Rigsby in a 16-8 win over visiting Washington College in Centennial Conference men's lacrosse action on Saturday afternoon at Shadek Stadium. Stadium. The Diplomats improve to 11-4 overall and 4-3 in the Centennial, while the Shoremen are now 4-9 and 3-4 respectively.

How It Happened
- The host Diplomats scored all three goals in the first quarter to take a 3-0 lead after one as Rigsby scored the final goal of the quarter from Will Mollihan with 6:30 left.
- Washington would net two of the first three goals of the second quarter to cut the lead to 4-2 with 8:33 remaining in the second on a Ewan Temple goal from Ben Dickinson.
- Franklin & Marshall would score the next two goals to push the lead to 6-2 with 6:01 left on a Rigsby unassisted score.
- The Shoremen would score the next two to reduce the deficit to 6-4 with 2:52 remaining on a Mac Hale goal from Dickinson. However, F&M would score the final two goals of the second to take an 8-4 lead into halftime with Rigsby netting a goal with one second left from Mollihan.
- Gabe Velasquez won the face-off and scored eight seconds into the third quarter for his first career goal to cut the lead to 8-5, but F&M would score the final three goals of the third to take an 11-5 lead heading into the fourth.
- Velasquez would opening the scoring in the fourth as he won the face-off and scored again, this time seven ticks into the fourth to trim the advantage to 11-6, but the Diplomats would respond by scoring five of the final seven goals of the game to provide the final margin.
