CHESTERTOWN, Md. – The Washington College men's lacrosse team traded goals with the eighth-ranked Dickinson early but failed to overcome its conference foe in the season finale, 18-10.

Dickinson College 18, Washington College 10

How it happened
- The Shoremen (4-10, 3-5 Centennial) got the scoring started when sophomore midfielder Mac Hale found junior attacker Luke Brennan just over a minute into the game for the first score of the afternoon, 1-0.
- Just over a minute later, Dickinson (16-0, 8-0 Centennial) swung back courtesy of a goal from Tucker Booth, assisted by Owen Porter.
- The two sides alternated goals for the remainder of the first, with the hosts striking back immediately with a FOGO goal from sophomore attacker Jack Theriault. After seven scoreless minutes, the Red Devils' James Isaacson evened the tally at 2-2.
- Shoremen sophomore attacker/midfielder Trevor Ivatts scored with 4:08 to go in quarter one to push Washington ahead, until Dickinson's Will Farrell notched a score of his own to knot the contest at 3-3 through 15 minutes.
- The pattern continued into the second, as senior attacker Ewan Temple grabbed a dish from Brennan and scored less than 90 seconds into the frame to push the Shoremen ahead once more, 4-3.
- The first of two second quarter runs for the Red Devils began with around 12 minutes remaining in the first half. Matt Thurston set up Porter for his first goal of the night to tie the game, with Dickinson taking the lead just over four minutes later on a pole goal from Seamus McCloskey, 5-4.
- Washington scored to break up the run with six minutes and change to go in the half. Freshman attacker Ben Dickinson sent a feed to Hale for the fifth Shoremen goal of the contest, tying the game once again at 5-5.
- The final 5:38 of the first half saw the undefeated Red Devils go on a 4-0 run with goals from Isaacson, Thurston, Sam Campbell, and Farrell, in that order. At the break, the visitors held a 9-5 advantage over the Shoremen.
- Dickinson added another following the intermission. Thurston added his second goal and third point of the game, with the assist credited to Isaacson, to grow their lead to five, 10-5.
- Temple broke up the five-goal streak for the visitors, cashing in on an Ivatts feed to halt Dickinson's momentum and narrow the Shoremen deficit, 10-6.
- The Red Devils tacked on another three-goal run to close the third quarter. Campbell and Porter added one more goal each, while Skyler Schluter added his first goal of the day. Through 45 minutes, Dickinson held a 13-6 edge over the hosts.
- Over the first nine minutes of the fourth, the teams returned to alternating scores. Cory Morgan, Temple, and Ivatts added goals in the span for Washington, while Dickinson's Thurston scored his third and fourth goals of the contest. When the dust settled, Dickinson led 15-9.
- The Red Devils scored back-to-back goals to add distance, courtesy of Campbell and Sascha Gannon. With five minutes to play, Dickinson led 17-9.
- Washington's Ben Dickinson scored the final goal for the hosts in the contest, putting in a feed from sophomore long-stick midfielder Tyler Bishop to cut the lead to seven before Dickinson's Griffin Moore set the final score with an unassisted finish, 18-10.
