Senior women's basketball player Joy Sanders (Baltimore, Md./Cristio Rey Jesuit) is this week's Shorewoman of the Week. Sanders averaged 15.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, one steal and one block per game in two games this week as she was named to the All-Tournament Team at the 2022 Susan Dunagan Holiday Classic hosted by Roanoke.

In a 62-59 win over New Jersey City on Thursday, she set career-bests with 21 points and 12 rebounds, including the go-ahead four-point play that put WC ahead for good, 58-54, with 2:23 to go in the game. The double-double was her second of the season and third of her career. On Friday against host Roanoke, she added 10 points, seven boards and two blocks.  Yesterday, she was named the Centennial Conferece Player of the Week for women's basketball.

This is Sanders' fourth career Shorewoman of the Week honor.
