Sophomore women's basketball player Abby Meredith (Wilmington, Del./Sanford School) is this week's Shorewoman of the Week. Meredith tied for the team high in points in the Shorewomen's 59-48 win at Immaculata to improve to 2-0 for the fourth straight season.

Meredith scored 11 points and pulled down three rebounds in the road win. Meredith scored seven straight points for WC in the second and third quarters to give WC a 33-23 lead with 7:06 left in the third. In the fourth with the Shorewomen leading 49-41, her jumper with 5:31 to go ignited a game sealing 8-0 which saw Washington take a 57-41 lead with 3:40 to go. 

This is Meredith's first career Shorewoman of the Week honor.
