Chestertown, MD - The Washington College Women's Basketball Team opens up their 2025-26 season on the road at Salisbury on November 8th at 1 PM. The Shorewomen were ranked sixth in the Centennial Conference's preseason poll.
Last Season:
The Shorewomen ended the season with a 17-10 record, going 9-6 against conference opponents. The Shorewomen recorded notable wins against Salisbury, 50-39, Haverford, 65-61, Franklin & Marshall, 61-48, and Ursinus, 56-50. They made it to the second round of the Centennial Conference Playoffs after taking down McDaniel in round one. Their season concluded with a 58-39 loss to #12 ranked Gettysburg.
Returning for the Shorewomen:
Senior, Kaitlyn Boggs, returns to the court for the Shorewomen after an All-Centennial Conference Second Team campaign during the 2024-25 season. Boggs led the team in points averaging 13.7 a game and was second on the team in rebounds with 8.1 per game. Emma Robinson returns for her final year as well after starting 26 of 27 games played in. Robinson led the team in rebounding with 9.1 per game. Senior point guard, Abby Meredith returns for the Shorewomen after starting in all 25 contests. She led the team in scoring behind the three-point arc with 25 total threes and was second in scoring overall averaging 10.6 points per game.

While it marks a new year, our objective remains unchanged — to continue building upon the success of recent seasons and to make a competitive run in the playoffs. We are fortunate to have a strong core of veteran players returning with valuable Centennial Conference experience, and I am enthusiastic about the contributions our newcomers will make to the program."
Key games:
The Shorewomen open up their season on the road, but will host their home opener on Tuesday, November 11th at 6 PM against Penn State Abington. Two days later, the Shorewomen host Notre Dame of Maryland at 7 PM. The Shorewomen will compete in a tip-off tournament in Virginia Beach where they will face #6 ranked Washington and Lee. They will open up conference competition on December 3rd as they host #8 ranked Johns Hopkins at 7 PM.
