LANCASTER, Pa. – A pair of Washington College women's basketball players have been named All-Centennial Conference in a vote conducted by conference's 11 head coaches. Junior forward
Kaitlyn Boggs (Linwood, N.J./Mainland Regional) landed on the second team, while senior guard
Karry Kelliher (Severna Park, Md./St. Mary's) earned honorable mention. In addition, senior guard/forward
Avery Thomas (Malvern, Pa./Notre Dame de Namur) represented the Shorewomen on the conference's All-Sportsmanship Team for the first time in women's basketball.
Boggs, who played and started in 26 games this winter, led the team in scoring in points per game (13.7), points (355), field goals made (137), field goal percentage (.472), free throws made (81), blocks (49) and blocks per game (1.9), while placing third on the squad in rebounds per game at 8.1 as she set career-bests in multiple categories in addition to setting the school record for blocked shots in a game with eight this season on November 9, 2024 versus Salisbury.. Through the end of the Centennial Conference Tournament, she is third in blocks and blocks per game, fourth in field goal percentage, fifth in points and points per game and ninth in rebounds. Boggs garnered all-conference recognition for the first time this season. She has played 79 career games, starting 74 times.
Kelliher, who played and started in all 27 games this season, was tops on the Shorewomen and through the end of the conference tournament, best in the Centennial in assists (124) and assists per game (4.6). The senior also led the team in steals (57), steals per game (2.1) and minutes played (901), while finishing second on the Shorewomen in points (269), three-pointers made (14), free throws made (65), blocks (33) and blocks per contest (1.2) and third in scoring average (10.0). The senior set the program mark for assists in a game with 14 on January 18, 2025, in a win over Muhlenberg and personal-bests this season in points, assists and rebounds. Through the end of the Centennial Tournament in addition to ranking tops in assists and assists per game, she ranks sixth in blocks and blocks per game, seventh in steals and ninth in steals per game. Kelliher is a first-time all-conference honoree. The senior competed in 101 career contests, earning 66 starting assignments.
Thomas averaged 2.4 points per game in a career-best 27 games this season, three starts. Each Centennial Conference member institution was permitted to nominate one student from each winter program who exemplifies the best in sportsmanship for the All-Sportsmanship Team. Nominations were submitted by the athletic departments or head coaches.
Since 2021-22, Washington has had seven all-conference selections and was tabbed the Centennial's Coaching Staff of the Year in 2023-24.
