GREENWOOD, Ind. – Two Washington College women's basketball players have been named to the 2024-25 CSC Academic All-District® for women's basketball. Senior guard
Karry Kelliher (Severna Park, Md./St. Mary's) and junior center
Kaitlyn Boggs (Linwood, N.J./Mainland Regional) were selected to the Academic All-District® team by members of the College Sports Communicators (CSC).
Kelliher and Boggs were also named to the national ballot and will be eligible to be named a CSC All-America®, which will be announced on April 16.
The team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. To be on the team, a student-athlete must have a GPA (grade-point average) of at least 3.50 and is not rounded up.
Kelliher, who was named All-Centennial Conference honorable mention on March 5, helped the Shorewomen earn their program record fourth straight trip to the Centennial Conference Tournament this past winter. She averaged 10.0 points per game this season and a conference-high 4.6 assists per game including a Washington College record 14 assists in a win over Muhlenberg on January 18.
The senior is a Psychology major and currently has a 3.94 grade-point average.
Boggs garnered All-CC second team honors earlier this month and earned all-conference recognition for the first time. She led the team in points per game (13.7) and blocks per game (1.9), while pulling down 8.1 rebounds a contest. The junior set the program record for blocks in a game with eight in a win over Salisbury on November 9.
The junior is a Human Development major and currently has a 3.718 grade-point average.
The duo were named to the Academic All-District® team for the first time.
