Trio of Shoremen Nine Secure All-Centennial Recognition

Kinsey Tabbed to Second Team, While Stolze and Turner Procure Honorable Mention; Miller Named to All-Sportsmanship Team

LANCASTER, Pa. — Three student-athletes from the Washington College baseball team have earned All-Centennial Conference honors in a vote conducted by the conference's 10 head coaches. Junior catcher Drew Kinsey (Monkton, Md./Hereford) was selected to the second team, while senior outfielder Will Turner (Preston, Md./Colonel Richardson) and sophomore infielder Zach Stolze (Towson, Md./Loyola Blakefield) were named honorable mention.  In addition, senior infielder Nick Miller (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) was the Shoremen's representative on the Centennial
Conference All-Sportsmanship Team.

Kinsey is a two-time All-Centennial pick, while Stolze and Turner are first time honorees.

Kinsey, a first team pick in 2024, reset the program record for home runs in a single season with 11, after setting the mark in 2024 with nine, and became the team's all-time leader in career longballs with 23. The junior hit .300 with a team-best 35 RBI this season in 39 games, 37 starts. Kinsey was tops on the team in walks (22), slugging (.631) and OPS (1.078), tied for tops in hit by pitch (15), second in stolen bases (12), on-base percentage (.447) and runs (42) and third in total bases (82). Through the end of the Centennial Conference Tournament, he was tied for fifth in home runs and tied for sixth in hit by pitch. In 91 career games, 88 starts, Kinsey is hitting .321 with 23 home runs and 75 RBI on 77 runs and 99 hits.

Turner hit .349 with six home runs and 32 RBI in playing and starting all 40 games this spring for the Shoremen. The senior led the team in hits with 60, becoming just the third WC player to tally 60 or more hits in a season and total bases (95). He tied for the team lead in doubles (13), tied for third in longballs and steals (10) and fourth in runs scored (37). The senior did set the Washington record for most at-bats in a season (172). Through the end of the Centennial Conference Tournament, he was fourth in the Centennial in at-bats. The senior in his two seasons with the program hit .352 with eight home runs and 50 RBI, tallying 75 runs and 105 hits in 76 games, 74 starts.

Stolze hit a team-best .357 with six homers and 31 RBI in 39 games, all starting assignments. The sophomore scored a squad best 44 runs, tied for tops in doubles (13) and hit by pitch (15), finished second in hits (50) and OPS (1.062) and was tied for third in home runs. Through the end of the Centennial Conference Tournament, he was tied for sixth in hit by pitch. In 77 career games, all starts, he has amassed 69 runs, 97 hits, 10 home runs and 69 RBI on his way to hitting .346.

The Centennial Conference also announced its All-Sportsmanship Team for baseball and Santiago was the Shoremen's representative on that team.  Each Centennial Conference member institution was permitted to nominate one student-athlete who exemplifies the best in sportsmanship for the All-Sportsmanship Team. Nominations were submitted by the head coaches. This is the first time Miller has been named to the team. Miller hit .273 on the season with a home run against Gettysburg in game one of a doubleheader.
