GREENWOOD, Ind. – Two Washington College men's tennis players have been selected to the 2025-26 CSC Academic All-District® for men's tennis. Juniors
Tichi Chialva (Cordoba, Argentina/LaSalle HS) and
Jorge Urgal Zuleta (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic/St. Michael's School) and sophomore were selected to the Academic All-District® team by members of the College Sports Communicators (CSC).
Chialva and Urgal Zuleta were also named to the national ballot and will be eligible to be named a CSC Academic All-America®, which will be announced on June 3.
The team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. To be on the team, a student-athlete must have a GPA (grade-point average) of at least 3.50 and is not rounded up. Chialva was named to the team for the second straight year, while Urgal Zuleta was selected to the team for the first time.
Chialva earned All-Centennial Conference first team honors in singles and second team in doubles on May 8 and is now a three-time all-conference honoree. Playing primarily at the top flight, he won 11 matches this spring and landed a spot in doubles with Urgal Zuleta.
The junior is a Computer Science major and currently has a 3.967 grade-point average.
Urgal Zuleta landed all-conference second team doubles honors with Chialva last week. The duo went 5-2 in seven matches and played together at No. 1 doubles in six of the seven matches.
The junior is an Economics major and currently has a 3.851 grade-point average.
