Two batters later, Freeman walked with the bases loaded to force in Cory Karagjozi to complete the scoring in the top of the third.
In the bottom of the third, Washington scored three times to take a 5-4 lead. Senior John Rolewicz (Bear, DE/Salesianum) drove in both Connole and senior Ryan Normoyle (Mt. In the top of the fourth, Gettysburg tied the game at 5-5 on a two-bagger to right-center off the bat of Karagjozi that scored Clint O'Brien. That would be the last of the scoring until the bottom of the 10th inning.
In the 10th inning, Normoyle walked with two outs to keep the inning alive. The next batter, Rolewicz singled through the right side to advance Normoyle to second.
