Owings Mills, MD- The Washington College Baseball Team sweeps Stevenson on the road. The Shoremen took the first game in seven innings, 13-6 and the second game in nine, 14-7.  

Game 1: Washington College 13 Stevenson 6 

How It Happened 

• The Shoremen scored first in the top of the first inning. Chase Ruppel doubled to left center field batting in Ty Everitt who got himself on base by singling down the left field line.  
• Stevenson scored twice in the bottom of the same inning on a two-run homer.  
• The Shoremen gained the lead in the next inning scoring back-to-back runs, Brady Wozniak and Tahir Parker each earned an RBI, Wozniak hit a single sending Scooter SanFilippo home after he got on base from a double to right field, and Parker sent Wozniak home after he doubled himself to left field. The Shoremen led 3-2.  
• Ruppel and SanFilippo each earned an RBI in the top of the third inning to send the Shoremen up three, 5-2.  
• The Shoremen scored twice more in the top of the fourth as Zach Stolze doubled to right field sending Luke Herz home. SanFilippo earned another RBI on a sacrifice fly sending Ruppel home who was on base thanks to a single to right field earlier in the inning. The Shoremen led 7-2.  
• The Shoremen were up four, 8-4 in the top of the sixth before they scored three more runs on two hits. Parker earned his second RBI of the game and Will Turner recorded two RBI to push the score to 11-4.  
• The Shoremen scored their final two runs in the top of the seventh and allowed two runs in the bottom of the seventh but continued to hang on to their lead as they ended game one up 13-6.

Game 2: Washington College 14 Stevenson 7 

How It Happened 

• The Shoremen went up early in the first inning, 4-0, scoring runs four batters in a row.  
• Ty Everitt was the first batter up singling to right field to put himself on base. Will Turner singled to left field putting him on base and Everitt to second. Zach Stolze was able to bat the first batter in as a single to left field put the Shoremen on the board, 1-0. Chase Ruppel doubled earning himself an RBI and sending Stolze home. Reese Hirsh earned an RBI as he grounded out to the pitcher but gave Stolze enough time to score, Shoremen were up 3-0. Scooter SanFilippo was the final batter up in the Shoremen's opening scoring run. He reached base on a fielder's choice and sent Ruppel home putting the Shoremen up 4-0.  
• Stevenson scored their first run in the bottom of the fourth to put themself on the board, 4-1.  
• The Shoremen scored twice more in the top of the seventh, earning two runs off five hits.  
• The final inning produced eight runs for the Shoremen, as they took the lead 14-5 over Stevenson.  
• The Mustangs scored twice in the bottom of the ninth inning to move the score to 14-7, but they could not make up for the errors of the half inning prior. The Shoremen swept and took game two, 14-7.
