LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Recently graduated Washington College men's lacrosse student-athletes
Ben Dickinson (Middletown, R.I./Middletown) and
Tom Merritt (Bethesda, Md./Bethesda-Chevy Chase) have been selected to play in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division III Senior All-Star Game which will take place today at 4 p.m. on Bayside Field on the campus of Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island. The duo will play for the South Team in the game. Dickinson will wear #10 and Merritt will be jersey #18.
Dickinson registered 35 points on 22 goals and 13 assists for the Shoremen this spring on his way to earning All-Centennial Conference second team honors as he played in all 17 games with 11 starts. He was second on the Shoremen in assists, third in points and tied for third in scores. He tallied 15 ground balls, three game-winning goals to lead the squad and three man-up tallies. In 64 career games, 25 starts, he notched 73 goals and 44 assists for 117 points, while scooping up 51 ground balls and recording 10 man-up goals. This is the second straight year Dickinson has been named All-Centennial as he was honorable mention in 2024.
Merritt, who was also honorable mention this spring, led the team with a career-best 71 ground balls and netted personal-highs in goals (9), points (11) and caused turnovers (15), which was good for third on the team, this spring in playing in all 17 games, seven starts. In 51 career games with the Shoremen, 36 starts, he gobbled up 166 ground balls, forced 35 caused turnovers, scored 19 goals and handed out eight helpers for 27 points. Merritt was a two-time All-CC honorable mention in 2023 and 2025.
