LANCASTER, Pa. – Two Washington College men's lacrosse players earned All-Centennial Conference honors in men's lacrosse in a vote conducted by the conference's nine head coaches. Senior midfielder
Ben Dickinson (Middletown, R.I./Middletown) was named All-Centennial Conference second team, while fifth-year midfielder
Tom Merritt (Chevy Chase, Md./Bethesda-Chevy Chase) garnered honorable mention. Both are all-conference for the second time in their careers. Also announced by the conference was the All-Sportsmanship Team for men's lacrosse and representing the Shoremen on the team is senior face-off specialist
Jackson Raabe (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Scioto).
Dickinson registered 35 points on 22 goals and 13 assists for the Shoremen this spring, playing in all 17 games with 11 starts. He was second on the Shoremen in assists, third in points and tied for third in scores. He tallied 15 ground balls, three game-winning goals to lead the squad and three man-up tallies. In 64 career games, 25 starts, he notched 73 goals and 44 assists for 117 points, while scooping up 51 ground balls and recording 10 man-up goals. He recorded his 100th career point on March 12 versus Skidmore in an 8-6 win. This is the second straight year Dickinson has been named All-Centennial as he was honorable mention in 2024.
Merritt, who was also honorable mention in 2023, led the team with a career-best 71 ground balls and netted personal-highs in goals (9), points (11) and caused turnovers (15), which was good for third on the team, this spring in playing in all 17 games, seven starts. Through the end of the Centennial Conference Tournament, he is fifth in ground balls and sixth in ground balls per game (4.18). The fifth-year set a personal-best with nine in a 14-5 victory at Catholic on March 8. In 51 career games with the Shoremen, 36 starts, he gobbled up 166 ground balls, forced 35 caused turnovers, scored 19 goals and handed out eight helpers for 27 points.
Raabe was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team for the first time as Shoremen Lacrosse's representative. Each Centennial Conference member institution was permitted to nominate one student-athlete who exemplifies the best in sportsmanship for the All-Sportsmanship Team. Nominations were submitted by the head coaches. Raabe played in a career-best six games in 2025, starting versus Haverford on April 12.
