Chestertown, MD - The Washington College men's lacrosse team will open its 2026 season at Elizabethtown on February 21st in Elizabethtown, PA.

Last Season:
The Shoremen finished 7-10 on the 2025 season. They went 1-7 in conference beating McDaniel, 20-7 for their lone conference win. They opened up 2025 with two wins against Barry, 12-6, and Elizabethtown, 12-8. The team then faced #4 ranked Washington and Lee, only dropping that matchup by two, 12-10. The Shoremen had competitive games versus Ursinus and Franklin & Marshall, only losing those conference matches by one, 10-9 and 9-8 respectively.

Senior Cam Carrigan will return for the Shoremen after leading the team in goals and points last season with 33 and 42 respectively. Nate Winters returns for his sophomore season after a 24-goal scoring freshman campaign. Colin Gray looks to return for the Shoremen after protecting the goal in 13 games last season.

From Head Coach John Nostrant
"The guys are working to get back into lacrosse shape after a successful fall season. We have more depth across the board and more experience on the field . As always, the conference will be a bear and we will need to continue to play hard and compete in every game . If we do that, I think we have the tools to be successful."

Key Games:
The Shoremen begin their season with three away games in a row as they travel to Elizabethtown, Widener, and Randolph-Macon. The Shoremen will host their first home game against Susquehanna on March 3rd, four days later they will see Catholic at home on March 7th. The Shoremen will meet Berry at a neutral site in Virginia Beach, VA for a spring break match on March 10th. #1 Dickinson will travel to Chestertown on March 21st as the Shoremen welcome their first conference opponent of the season. Down the stretch the Shoremen will face Muhlenberg, #18 Swarthmore, and #10 Gettysburg at home. The annual War of the Shore game will be held this year at #2 Salisbury on April 24th at 7 PM.
