Brett Connolly (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown STEM) and senior infielder
Chase Ruppel (Shamong, N.J./Seneca) have been named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week for Week 5, which was the week of March 9-15.
Connolly, one of the three outfielders selected, hit .483 (14-for-29) with nine runs scored, two doubles, two triples, home run and 12 RBI with a pair of stolen bases to go along with a .455 on-base percentage and a 1.249 slugging. The freshman had a hit in all six games this past week. In Thursday's game versus Marywood, the freshman hit for the cycle.
Ruppel, who was the team's pick at first base, hit .393 (11-for-28) with three home runs, 13 RBI, 12 runs, 24 total bases an on-base percentage of .500, slugged .857 and had an OPS of 1.357 in a six games this week and recorded a hit in all six.Â
The pair are the first from Washington College to be named to the team of the week since
Scooter SanFilippo '25 was named to the team on March 12, 2025.
