LANCASTER, Pa. – Freshman goalkeeper
Keegan Dunn (Marlton, N.J./St. Joseph's Prep [Pa.]) has been named the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week in men's lacrosse for the week of March 16-22. This is the first time he has won the conference's weekly award.
Dunn tallied a .609 save percentage, 8.19 goals against average and 28 saves in 131:48 of action in a 2-0 week for the Shoremen. In Saturday's 10-9 triple overtime win over 11th-ranked Dickinson, the freshman netminder turned away 14 shots, including nine in the second half and three in the final 2:32 of the fourth quarter to keep the game tied at 9-9. It was the Shoremen's first win over the Red Devils since 2014 and first home win versus Dickinson since 2005. In Wednesday's 10-9 overtime victory against Stockton, Dunn stopped 14 shots, making eight of his 14 saves after halftime. The freshman also picked up a pair of ground balls in the contest.
