Junior baseball player
Michael Lewis (Glen Allen, Va./The Steward School) is this week's Shoreman of the Week. Lewis picked up the victory and set a personal-high in strikeouts in the team's 6-1 win at Gettysburg on Sunday in the opener that secured a spot in the 2026 Centennial Conference Tournament.
The junior tossed seven innings of one run, four hit ball with one walk and a career-best 10 strikeouts in the Shoremen's game one victory at Gettysburg that locked up a place in the conference tournament, the Shoremen's first in four years. He had a pair of 1-2-3 innings in the victory and after the first inning allowed just one runner to reach second base. The junior struck out at least one hitter in all seven innings tossed, including three frames of two strikeouts.
This is Lewis' first career Shoreman of the Week honor.
