LANCASTER, Pa. – Senior outside hitter Izzy Diehl (Driftwood, Texas/Dripping Springs) has been named the Centennial Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week for volleyball for the week of September 14-20 by the conference office. Diehl earned the conference's weekly award for the first time.

Diehl hit .472 and averaged 5.22 kills per set in two matches this week with 47 total kills, including the most kills by a Washington College volleyball player in the 25-point set era. On Thursday against St. Mary's (Md.), the senior hit .571 on a career-high 26 kills on just 42 hitting attempts, leading all players in finishers. Diehl is the first Shorewoman to tally 26 kills in a match since Katherine O'Brien '08 against Goucher on September 27, 2007, and the most kills in the 25-point set era which began in 2008. In Saturday's four-set victory over Rutgers-Camden, Diehl notched a match-topping 21 kills and hit .383 for the match. In the 89 attack attempts, Diehl had only five errors in the two matches.

Diehl is the first player from Shorewomen Volleyball to earn the conference's weekly award since Allison McKechnie '26 was tabbed co-player of the week on September 23, 2025. This is the second consecutive week that a member of the squad has won Centennial Player of the Week honors as sophomore Bethany Haughton won defensive player of the week last week.
