Washington College

To simply put it, Carl Horrocks is one of the best skippers Washington College sailing has ever had.   

A two-time All-MAISA skipper and three-time team MVP, Horrocks was part of the group that took Washington to a program-high #2 in the national rankings.  

He finished with 21 top-five finishes at dinghy regattas, 13 A Division skipper finishes (second most in program history) and four first-place divisional finishes. Horrocks was the first sailor in school history to win a single-handed regatta. 

Horrocks also was the recipient of the 2006 Thomas Reeder Spedden Award.  

Washington College is proud to welcome Carl Horrocks into its Athletic Hall of Fame on this sixth day of October, 2023.
