Katie Bierzonski Prins holds school records in both basketball and volleyball. 

As a middle blocker and outside hitter, Prins currently holds the school record in career kills with 1,286. Because of her success on the Volleyball court she is fifth in blocks with 245, sixth in digs with 1117, and seventh in aces with 157. 

Prins also led Washington College to its second Centennial Conference Basketball Tournament in 1999. During her time with the basketball team she tallied 1,065 points, sixth in school history, sits at number four in rebounds and steals with 780 and 165 respectively, and is seventh in scoring average and field goal percentage with 11.3 points per game and 42% scoring average respectfully. During her senior year, 2001, she averaged a double-double of 12.5 points and 10.5 rebounds. Prins is a two-time All Centennial Conference Honorable Mention and was named to the Second Team All-Centennial Conference in her last year. 

Prins graduated from Washington College in 2001 with a degree in Economics and business management and psychology minors. During her time here in Chestertown, she was also a member of the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society.  

Post graduation Katie has been a Management Fund Accountant and Lead Accountant for a legal firm. She is also a member of VINational Volleyball team, enjoys swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving  and sailing and also volunteers for the local rotary club.  

Washington College considers it an honor and a privilege to induct Katie Bierzonski Prins into the Athletic Hall of Fame this twenty-seventh day of September 2024.
