Without a doubt, John Fuller was one of the most consistently prolific goal-scorers the storied Washington College men’s lacrosse team has ever seen.

John scored between 35 and 42 goals in each of his four seasons playing for the Shoremen. He netted 41 goals as a freshman, tallied 42 goals as a sophomore, scored 35 goals as a junior, and fired in 41 goals as a senior. All told, he finished with 159 goals in his career to go along with 23 career assists.

With such impressive goal-scoring numbers each season, it comes as no surprise that John collected a bevvy of individual awards. He was a four-time All-Centennial Conference performer, landing on the first team in 1999, the second team in 1996 and 1997, and the honorable mention list in 1998. He was also a three-time All-American at attack, earning first-team honors in 1997, second-team honors in 1999, and third-team honors in 1998. He served as a team captain as a senior and was chosen to play in the North-South Senior All-Star Game.

John was the second-leading goal-scorer on the Shoremen’s 1998 NCAA Division III National Championship Team and was the leading goal-scorer on the Shoremen’s 1996 and 1997 Centennial Conference Championship and NCAA Division III finalist teams. He scored a pair of goals in the 1998 NCAA Division III National Championship Game and three goals in the 1997 NCAA Division III National Championship Game. The Shoremen posted a combined win-loss record of 53-16 during his four years on the team.

Washington College considers it an honor and privilege to induct John Fuller into its Athletic Hall of Fame on this 12th day of October, 2013.
