An All-Maryland tackle, Ray Kilby was a tower of strength on the football line from 1935-38. Consistent, hard-working and dependable, he was an outstanding member of the 1936 team.

In track he threw the shot and competed in other field events and lettered two years.

He was a member of Kappa Alpha fraternity, Varsity Club, and the Elm staff.

After graduation he was a project engineer for Hunt Foods and was in charge of their plants east of the Mississippi and in Canada.

He died on August 13, 1986.
